Mission Statement
Playtime Foundation strives to create awareness, excitement, and opportunity for the custom car/truck culture to give back to the community through charitable works and contributions to our sponsored charities.
Our History
Playtime Foundation was created in 1999 by Tony Ramos who got the idea for the Choc Cruise by attending a similar event held by the Motorcycle Riders Association at Loma Linda Hospital . By Choc Cruise 3 Tony’s future wife Diana and their good friend Cheri Delgadillo had joined as founders of Playtime Foundation. Many clubs have hosted the Choc Cruise over the year including: Twisted Obsessions OC, Sunset OC, Reanimation, and Shoboat. For the last seven cruises we have had coverage from Ministyle Magazine but this year we are now hosted by Gauge Magazine. Gauge supports Choc 100% giving our event full coverage and running a full page ad. In 2007 we were also able to sponsor a new charity, the Ronald McDonald House. During the summer we held a cruise where we collected household necessities and food. The event was titled RMH #1.
We are very proud of what we have accomplished over the years. Our Choc cruise started with just 100 cars in attendance and in recent years we had over 400 vehicles in attendance. As the years have past we have been able to not only bring cars and toys but Santa Clause as well.
The year 2007 marks many new beginnings for the Choc cruise. Instead of one club hosting, we instead use a few people from several clubs helping to staff the cruise. These clubs include: Altered Dimensions, Ballistic, Local Finesse, Characters, Next Phase, Raw c.c., Independent Illusions, Banzai Cruisers, Wicked Captivity, and Down To Earth.
For the last few years many of the clubs would get a discount coupon from Hooters for attending the Choc Cruise and many would hang out at the restaurant after the event. We have switched locations and are currnetly going to Original Mikes in
As of 2008 we have also begun to support Hillview Acres, a home for abused children. We have used our other functions to gather supplies and toys to deliver to the charity before Christmas.
The founding members are constantly looking forward to the future of the Choc cruise. Playtime Foundation has one goal to mix its love of children with its love of the car culture.
Thanks For Your Support
Tony, Diana and Cheri would like to personally thank all the clubs and individuals who have donated their time, money, and vehicles to make these events possible. We would als like to thank our sponsors who have continually helped to make the event successful.
